Meaning of Gaia

Meaning of Gaia
The name has two various etymologies: the first one leads back to the Greek “Gea”, the mother of all of gods of Mount Olympus, goddess of the fertility and of the nature which came identified with the Earth itself, in the Greek mythology it was in fact called Gaia. The second one comes instead from the Latin Gaius, drawn from the saxon Gahi, which means “of cheerful humour, lively”.
